IPEX helps mental health and substance abuse charity cut costs and stay connected

The Customer

Operating services in all 22 counties of Wales, and in Lancashire, Adferiad is a member-led charity that provides help and support for people with mental health, addiction, and co-occurring and complex needs, to maximise their personal potential, and achieve a better quality of life.

The Challenge

Adferiad faced significant challenges with its existing mobile communication services removing precious resources from its services and limiting access, too!

Internal feedback surfaced that staff and volunteers consistently faced signal coverage issues, particularly in remote areas, especially across Wales. Plus, their previous provider couldn’t offer real-time usage alerts, preventing the monitoring and control of data expenditures, causing costs to spiral out of control.

The Solution

IPEX recognised the importance of providing Adferiad with consistent and reliable network coverage, deploying a multi-network solution across its mobile device fleet.

This ‘Any Network, One Bill’ solution would ensure the strongest network coverage no matter the location, ensuring that employees could stay connected even in incredibly remote locations. This would not only improve the accessibility of staff but also enhance the team’s productivity and communication.

A trackable report and alert system was also deployed, delivering real-time notifications when users were approaching (and reached) their data usage caps.

All aspects of Adferiad’s new Business Mobile solution would be managed through IPEX’s easy to use portal, ensuring that the team’s future data usage is shared effectively, preventing data overspend. It would also help surface the ‘heavy data users’, to ultimately eliminate the chances of bill-shock and ensure more predictable and lower-cost bills.

The Results

The partnership between Adferiad and IPEX effectively addressed the company’s initial telecoms issues, going even further to ensure staff safety, as well as simpler mobile device management.
