Cooling Off Communication Chaos: Acme’s Chilled Approach to Mobile Management

The Challenge.

Back in 2019, Acme’s previous mobile set-up caused multiple logistical challenges. Varying contract end-dates across its 90+ mobile base, and limited visibility of its deployed handsets and usage led to unpredictable out-of-bundle charges and monthly invoicing. This resulted in costs spiralling out of control while also preventing Acme from keeping software up to date, enforcing recommended policies, or managing lost/stolen handsets

The Solution

IPEX proposed unifying Acme’s multiple mobile contracts into a single contract, via its ‘Any Network, One Bill’ solution, with a comprehensive Shared Data Pool for the entire estate. Unlike Acme’s previous solution, IPEX also proposed deploying Mobile Device Management software across the mobile fleet, enabling Acme to control its mobile estate better. The solution would also enable Acme staff to select which mobile network was the most appropriate for them, based on home and common remote working locations.

Staff were pleased that they could choose the best network for their specific needs, and leverage a more reliable signal on their handset, enabling them to be more reactive in customer interactions and more collaborative internally, while also delivering:

Plus, IPEX’s MDM (Mobile Device Management) software enabled Acme’s IT team to enact a range of policies to ensure full compliance with Cyber Security Essentials, as well as the automatic distribution of company software to Service Engineers, ensuring that projects were completed optimally by enabling them to complete their work more effectively.
